Job Description

We are looking for a Purchase Ledger clerk to join our Accounts team as a Maternity Cover for 9 months beginning from December 2017 in our central London multi franchised dealership.

The successful candidate must have Basic Computer skills and Accountancy Knowledge.You will be responsible for the Accounts Payable, Sales Invoicing and Bank Processing, alongside any other necessary ad hoc duties. From time to time you would be required to talk to suppliers and as such you must be able to communicate clearly.

The role of the Accounts Assistant will include:

  • Accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase/sales invoices.
  • Monitoring the Purchase Ledger in order to resolve queries on outstanding invoices and un-allocated entries.
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts.
  • Providing for any other accounting and ordering functions as required and any other ad hoc duties allocated by the Finance Director as required.


  • You should have Strong transactional skills and experience taking responsibility for purchase ledger.
  • Previous experience working in an Accounts Department.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger procedures.
  • A willingness to learn and be a pro-active member of the team.
