TRAINING

SCHOOL LONDON

Massive thanks for a challenging but great, if freezing day out on Monday. You're great guys and the best of teachers because you made it fun and interesting all at the same time. Going to Barnet to choose a 125 tomorrow, then practise practise practise: and Terry, I'll try not to go too fast too soon. Will be in touch re: the Test. All the best and be safe

Hi. I wanted to leave some feedback having just passed my test for a full bike license. I did this via your super six package and have to say what a thoroughly excelllent package it is! Clearly though a critical success factor is the quality of supervision and instruction and I found this to be the just fantastic, and consistent across all the instructors with whom I had contact: Mark for my CBT, Terry and Dave W for days 1 and 2 of the 5D, Ray for day 3 (125-500 convwersion)and Terry again for day 4 and test day. I learned heaps and importantly in a safe and really professionally delivered way. I will not hesitate to recommend Metropolis Training to anyone!
Thanks to you all,

Nick

Benefits of riding a Motorcycle/Scooter in the city

There are many benefits associated with riding a scooter or motorbike, especially when compared to the cost and hassle of driving a car.

Congestion

Congestion is a big problem in many of the UK’s towns and cities, and nowhere more so than in the capital. London’s congestion charge has proved a success and now the charge looks set to be enforced in other major cities. Luckily for riders, Scooters and motorbikes are exempt from congestion charges, meaning you can travel wherever you like without the extra financial burden.

Travelling on two wheels doesn’t only save you money, it saves you time as well! On a scooter or motorcycle you can easily negotiate traffic jams and leave all the queues behind.

Parking

Parking is a nightmare at the best of times, but if you live in London or another major city, it can be impossible! Even when you do manage to find a space, it is often far away from where you need to be and very expensive. If you ride a motorbike or scooter, parking is much easier! Not only do you not need as much space to park, but you can often park in areas where cars are not allowed.  In addition to this you’ll often find that parking for motorcycles and scooters is free!

Running Costs

With soaring oil prices, the cost of fuel is reaching record highs. Many motorists are switching to scooters and motorbikes for economic reasons alone. A 125cc machine will typically cost less than 10 pence per mile to run and many scooters can achieve 100mpg, making them far more fuel efficient than cars or trucks.

In addition to the obvious fuel savings, switching to two wheels will also save you money on road tax, servicing and insurance, as well as reducing your carbon footprint.

Buying a Scooter or motorcycle

Not only are they cheap to run, scooters and motorcycles are also cheap to buy! When compared to new and used cars, two wheels are far cheaper than four.

Metropolis motorcycles have a fantastic range of competitively priced scooters and motorcycles.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick message to say thank you to everyone at Metropolis for helping me pass my CBT. A big thanks to Paul and Terry for giving me the confidence to ride. I didn't think I had it in me! Take care and I will see you in about a year for the full test.
Much love
